aerial yoga

7:15pm - Thursday : low-moderate intensity | playful | strength

Class Description

For the curious yogi. You're looking to try something a little different, build strength and flexibility, and perhaps see the world from a slightly different angle. Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga poses with a suspended silk hammock, helping you explore supported stretches, build strength and balance, and have a bit of fun along the way. Inversions offer a new perspective on familiar movements, while gentle spinal traction creates a feeling of length and space through your back. Classes focus on the foundations, with beginner-friendly poses and gentle sequences to build confidence at your own pace. Variations and progressions help you develop your skills as you become more comfortable. No previous yoga or strength training experience is needed, just a willingness to give it a go. Expect to challenge yourself and discover a different way to move, with the hammock supporting you as you explore what your body can do. A little preparation is important. Wear comfortable, fitted clothing covering your torso, armpits and the backs of your knees to protect your skin from friction. Remove all jewellery which can catch in or damage the hammock. Avoid zips or sharp fastenings, tie back long hair and avoid eating a heavy meal immediately before class. Perfect for: curious beginners and yogis looking to build strength, flexibility and confidence while exploring a different side of their practice. Remember to save on your session price by purchasing an Aerial Yoga Class Pass when you book. __________ DISCLAIMER Aerial yoga involves suspended movement and inversions.
