Unlock the elusive Hanumanasana with Victoria at the Dorchester Yoga Centre.

Front splits (also known as Hanumanasana or Monkey pose), can be the true pain in the proverbial, especially if you have tight hamstrings and hip flexors.

In this two hour workshop, we will warm up the body, work on a number of useful drills and conditioning training to open up the body safely for our peak pose, Front Splits.

Victoria injured her right hamstring back in 2015 which put an abrupt stop to her Hanumanasana practice. Even the simplest stretches caused a lot of pain and many flexibility asanas were just out of reach.

She’ll show you how she reset her flexibility journey, and why Hanumanasana is now not only possible, it’s a firm asana favourite.

Master deep flexibility poses with a little bit of alignment know-how, the right techniques and above all, patience.

Suitable for all levels – even if Hanumanasana feels a long way off – you will reap the benefits from this workshop.

For this class you will need two blocks and a small blanket/towel.
