Join Victoria from sìdà yoga for an afternoon of total body flexibility.
Regular yoga classes are fantastic for a consistent practice, but often time constraints mean that some of the more advanced asana can feel out of reach.
In this 3 ½ hour workshop, we will warm up the body, work on a number of useful drills and conditioning training and intelligent sequencing to open up the body safely for more advanced postures.
Our peak pose will be front splits (also known as Hanumanasana or Monkey pose), but we will have the opportunity to go on a deeper flexibility journey to unlock postures such as Samakonasa (middle split), Yoganidrasana (yogic sleep) and Padmasana (lotus pose).
There are never guarantees with ‘posture goals’. Run a mile away from any workshop that promises your splits in 30 days. While it is possible to achieve this in the rare few, many of us need the time and right tools to progress our flexibility journey. Here, Victoria will share the tools that helped her find her hanumanasa as well as the other poses mentioned here, so you too can adapt and use these tools in your own practice to find flexibility success too.
Suitable for all levels – even if these poses feel a long way off – you will reap the benefits from this workshop. We will have a 30 minute break with small refreshments but please note this workshop will be 3 hours of physical activity so prepare for and embrace the challenge.
For this class you will need two blocks, a strap and a small blanket/towel.
Booking required as spaces are limited.
Note for teachers – the hours from this workshop can count towards YAP CPDs.
